Meow’s Bakery: A Cat’s Baking Diary

Meow~ Hello everyone! I’m Ball Ball, the master baker of the house. Recently, I’ve been watching my human make bread at home, and the delicious aroma always tempts my nose. Today, I finally decided to try making bread myself!

Secret Recipe Collection
After days of observation, I discovered that bread-making needs these ingredients:
- A bag of white powder (human calls it flour)
- A small package of mysterious powder (something called yeast? smells weird)
- That flowing white liquid (must be milk)
- And my secretly added catnip (this is the secret ingredient!)

The Great Dough Battle
Step One: Mixing Flour Using my strongest paws, I poured the flour into the big bowl. Maybe spilled a little… well, okay, spilled a lot, now I look like a little snowman.
Step Two: Adding Liquid Human says to add warm water slowly, but I think milk smells better! (Ended up accidentally pouring in the whole carton of milk…)
Step Three: Kneading the Dough This is the most tiring part! I tried kneading with my paws:
- Left paw kneads a bit
- Right paw squeezes a bit
- Occasionally rub with my face (adds more love!)
Fermentation Time
Human says the dough needs to “rest” under a cloth. I think the dough must be very tired, so I decided to take a nap with it. (Actually, I was exhausted from all that kneading)
When I woke up, the dough had grown so big! Could it be my purring that helped it grow?
Artistic Shaping
Time to show off my artistic talent! I’m going to make a cat-shaped bread:
- Two pointy ears
- Round chubby face
- Long tail (Though it kind of looks like a mouse that’s been run over…)

Baking Process
This was the hardest part! I had to:
- Find that big box that gets hot
- Figure out how to put the bread inside
- Remember to set the time (using my cat instincts!)
A few small accidents happened:
- Almost burned my paws (turns out ovens are really hot!)
- Accidentally pressed some strange buttons
- The oven made weird noises (hope it’s not broken)
Final Product Showcase
After a long wait, my masterpiece is finally done!
Special features:
- Appearance: Golden yellow (kind of like my fur!)
- Shape: Somewhere between bread and art
- Aroma: A unique blend of bread and catnip
- Decoration: Sprinkled with some of my fur (that was accidental…)
Tasting Notes
As the first taster, I must say:
- The crust is a bit hard (might be good for teeth grinding)
- The inside is still a bit wet (I think this is healthier)
- The taste… well… very creative!
Notes for My Human
Dear Human:
- The messy kitchen is a normal part of the creative process
- Flour everywhere is to create a snowing atmosphere
- If the oven acts weird, it must be its own problem
- I washed your apron (though it might be dirtier now)
Lessons Learned
As an aspiring baker cat, I learned:
- Bread making is much harder than it looks!
- Should add more catnip next time
- Kneading dough is really hard work
- Maybe cat food suits me better after all
Well, that’s all for today’s baking lesson! Time for another nap, bread making is so tiring meow!
PS: If human sees the kitchen disaster, please remember: It’s all done with love! (And I promise next time… probably… maybe… I won’t try again)
